• A feature or action is not available for certain domain name extensions.
• The domain name does not meet the format requirements for the applicable TLD.

Domain name formatting requirements:

Letters and numbers are valid characters with exception of domain names that begin bq-- or xn--. Hyphens may also be used, however, they cannot begin or end your domain name. Domain names with hyphens in both the 3rd and 4th position will also be invalid. Spaces and special characters are never permitted. The special characters include, but are not limited to, these special characters: ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) ? "

You can use up to 67 characters (up to 63 for ccTLDS) in your domain name, including the extension .com, .net, or .org. "www" and "http://www" are not considered part of your domain name and therefore don't count towards the character total.

.name domains must adhere to the following format: First.Last.name. .name domains are the only domains which may contain a second "." within the domain name.
