When it comes to SSL certificates and ensuring that online transactions are secure, validation of the entity that manages the web site is critical. We've developed a 4-step process to validate your organization to ensure your certificate is properly issued:

Step 1: We verify you are the registrant of the domain name used in your application by verifying the information in the WHOIS database.

Steps 2 & 3: We cross-reference 2 of the following 3rd party references including: Dun and Bradstreet number, Articles of Incorporation, Business License, Tax ID, etc. Required credentials for steps 2 and 3 may vary depending on country, and if the applicant is not incorporated. The Network Solutions' validation team will contact you if additional information is required to complete the validation process.

Step 4: We contact your organization via a 3rd party reference to verify that the SSL certificate applicant is employed with your organization.

You will be e-mailed an order number and instructions on which documentation is needed when your order has been successfully processed. Upon receipt of all applicable documentation, your SSL certificate is issued within 1 business day with the purchase of nsProtect™ Secure SSL Advanced or Wildcard certificate, and 2-4 business days with the purchase of the nsProtect™ Secure SSL Basic or Assured Site Seal.
