How do I add Private Registration?
Deter those who seek customer information through the public WHOIS database. Private Registration protects customers by displaying alternate contact information for the registrant of the domain name in the public WHOIS database. Private Registration can be added only to domain names with the following extensions: .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .br.com, .bz, .co, .com.co, .net.co, .nom.co, .de.com, .eu.com, .gb.com, .gb.net, .gs, .hu.com, .im, .jpn.com, .kr.com, .la, .me, .ms, .no.com, .qc.com, .ru.com, .sa.com, .se.com, .se.net, .tc, .tel, .tv, .uk.com, .uk.net, .us.com, .uy.com, .vg, .ws, and .za.com.
To add Private Registration to a single existing domain name:
From the Network Solutions® Partner Portal home page, click the Order Services tab at the top of the screen, then click the Add Private Registration link.
To add Private Registration to a domain name, enter the domain name (example: mydomain.com) and click the Go! button.
By selecting Advanced Search you can also search for the domain name. The Advanced Search feature searches by a variety of criteria, including wildcard searches, date ranges or uploaded text files of domain names. Results will return only domain names that do not have Private Registration. Once you have found the domain name you wish to add Private Registration to, click the box in the "Select" column of the domain name search results. Select the term you would like for Private Registration from the drop down list, and click the Go! button.
This will take you to a new page where you can select the term you would like for Private Registration from the drop down list. You may turn Auto Renew "On" for this service by selecting "On" from the drop down list. Click the Go! button. Please note: You cannot add Private Registration for a term that would put the total term over 10 years. When added through this flow, the Private Registration expiration date does not synch with the expiration date of the domain name. Click the Submit button to complete the addition of Private Registration.
To add Private Registration to multiple existing domain names:
From the Network Solutions® Partner Portal home page, click the Order Services tab at the top of the screen, then click the Add Private Registration link.
Click the Advanced Search link near the top of the page.
The Advanced Search feature searches by a variety of criteria, including wildcard searches, date ranges or upload text files of domain names. Select the search method you would like to use, enter your search criteria, and click the Go! button.
Your search results will be displayed in a table on the following page(s). Results will return only domain names that do not have Private Registration. Select the domain names you wish to edit by clicking the box in the "Select" column, or click the All button to select all domain names.
Select the term you would like for Private Registration from the drop down list. You may turn Auto Renew "On" for this service by selecting "On" from the drop down list. Click the Go! button. Please note: You cannot add Private Registration for a term that would put the total term over 10 years. When added through this flow, the Private Registration expiration date does not synch with the expiration date of the domain name.
You will be presented with a list of the domain names you added Private Registration to and the term for Private Registration. If this information if correct, click the Submit button to complete the addition of Private Registration.
