How do I assign a new Tech/Admin/Billing Contact?

If you wish to assign this new contact to a single domain name, you must first lookup that domain name by selecting the Manage Services tab and clicking on View/Update Domains. For instructions on how to do so, please refer to the How do I lookup a domain name? Help page. This will bring you to a page displaying the registration and contact information for this domain name. Click the Change Contact button corresponding to the contact you would like the change.

If you wish to assign this new contact to multiple domain names, you must first lookup the domain names by selecting the Manage Services tab and clicking on View/Update Domains. For instructions on how to do so, please refer to the How do I update domain names in bulk? Help page. When you have done this, select the contact type you wish to assign from the Data Type drop down under "Edit Selected Items" at the bottom of the page. Click the Go! button to continue.

  1. You can assign a new contact in several ways:

    • Enter a Customer ID

    • Enter a Contact (NIC) Handle

    • Assign Self (the Partner you are logged in as)

    • Assign Customer (the customer to whom this domain name is currently assigned)

    • Create New Contact (See How do I create a new contact? for more information.)

    When you have done this, click the Go! button.

  2. Review the information displayed on the "Confirm" page. If everything is correct, click the Submit button to complete this change of contact.
